Foy “Willis” Roberts was born on January 20, 1933, in Ashland, Oklahoma to Foy. L. Roberts and Edna “Merle” (Phillips) Roberts. He passed from this life on Monday, July 10, 2023, at his home in Owasso, Oklahoma at the age of 90 years. Willis was raised and educated in McAlester, Oklahoma and graduated with the McAlester High School Class of 1951. HE then enlisted and served his country honorably as a fire control technician in the United States Navy. Willis was married on November 10, 1957, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Dalline LaVone (Enlow) Roberts. He spent most of his working life as a technical writer for MAPCO in Tulsa. Willis was a longtime faithful member of First Church after moving to Owasso, Oklahoma in 1975. In his spare time, he enjoyed a variety of past times such as fishing, hunting, woodworking, staining glass, and DIY projects, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. A funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Owasso. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Home of Hope, 226 West Dwain Willis Avenue, Vinita, OK 74031.
