Sinatra sings Sinatra on June 19
Frank Sinatra Jr. to perform at The Joint inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa
TULSA, Okla. – It has been more than 15 years since Ol’ Blue Eyes passed away, but his legendary musical career lives on through the performances of Frank Sinatra Jr. On June 19, the singer and his 20-piece orchestra will perform at The Joint inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
Tickets start at $35 and go on sale May 15.
Shortly after his father’s death in 1998, Sinatra Jr. found himself catapulted into a position he never sought but must have surely contemplated. The songs of Sinatra need to be sung, and Sinatra Jr. inherited that honor.
In song and style, Sinatra Jr. pays homage to his father, the singer, and the music that defines the Sinatra legend by successfully touring the country performing “Sinatra Sings Sinatra.”
The concert features songs Sinatra sang in more than 50 years of performing, many of which Sinatra Jr. witnessed firsthand. The show includes such Sinatra classics as “I’ve Got You Under My Skin,” “One For My Baby,” “New York, New York,” “Luck Be A Lady” and “Strangers In The Night.”
Frank Jr. has performed in major clubs and showrooms throughout the United States, Canada, Japan, Brazil and England. He has appeared on stage with many showbiz greats, as well as guest starred on popular television shows, including “The Sopranos” and “Family Guy.”
In 1988, Sinatra Jr. joined his father’s staff as musical director and conductor. He helped to choose the music, and rehearsed and conducted the orchestra whenever his father was on stage.
To date, Sinatra Jr. has released six albums, including 2006’s “That Face.”
