Freddie Lane Evans, resident of Tulsa, passed away Thursday, February 21, 2013, at the age of 59. Fred was born November 12, 1953, in Tulsa to Fred Lawrence and Lucy Fern (Coe) Evans. He was raised in Tulsa and Sperry, graduating Sperry high school with the class of 1973. On April 25, 1975, Fred was united in marriage to Janet Phillips. He worked as a stock clerk for American Airlines until his health deteriorated to a point that he could not work. in Tulsa.
Fred is survived by his wife Janet; daughter April and her husband Jay; sister Alice and husband Kevin; sister Kathy Sue; brother Mark and wife Tracie; cousin Pat Adams; sister in law Donna Phillips; granddaughters Miriah, Baley and Kylie; great grandson Carson; nieces Ashley and Taylour; nephews Kaleb and Nick; and his beloved dog “Samantha.”
Visitation will be Sunday, February 24, 2013, from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Mowery Funeral Service with a private family graveside held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 25, 2013, at Ridgelawn Cemetery, Collinsville.
