Gary Arnold Batchelor age 60, passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at his home in Owasso surrounded by his loving family. Gary was born March 24, 1955 in Miami, Florida to Wilmer “Wil” & Mafalda “Mal” (Young) Batchelor.
Gary grew up in Florida where he attended and graduated from Florida Christian Academy. Gary was an avid athlete. He loved Basketball, Football, Baseball, and Track, and excelled in them all. He also obtained an Associate Degree in Horticulture. In the mid 80’s he obtained his A & P mechanic license, moved to California and worked for AirCal. Gary moved to Tulsa in 1986 to work for American Airlines where he retired from in 2006. He lived in Broken Arrow before moving to Owasso in 2012. Gary has been a member of the Broken Arrow Masonic Lodge AF & AM #243 for over 20 years.
Gary also enjoyed wood working, yard work, deep sea fishing, his dog “Bear”, and pulling jokes on family and friends. He would always laugh when reminded of the time he put a dead mouse in Molly’s school lunch box. He always prided himself on the wood furniture he made, and the beautifully manicured yard that everyone was sure to notice when they passed his house.
Gary is survived by his wife Valerie of the home.

Numerous family and friends.
Preceded in death by his brother Barry Malloy of Ohio.
Public visitation will be 9:00AM to 8:00PM Monday, November 30th and 9:00AM to 8:00PM Tuesday, December 1st. Family will receive guests from 6-8PM Tuesday evening. Both days of visitation will be held at Dighton-Moore Funeral Service in Owasso.
Funeral Service will be 11:00AM Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at Parkview Baptist Church, 5805 S. Sheridan, Tulsa, OK. with Rev. Steve Lewis officiating. Private Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery in Owasso.
