Gary Lewis Burger, Sr., was born February 7, 1948, in Van Nuys, California, to Fredrick John and Lillian Rae (Hamlin) Burger. He died Friday, March 25, 2016, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 68 years. Gary was reared and educated in Gilbert, Arizona, and was a graduate of Gilbert High School. He continued his education attending Mesa Community College in Mesa, Arizona. Gary was married February 16, 1974, in Stone Mountain, Georgia, to Donna McCaskill. He had purchase or started several businesses throughout his career including Quik Marking, Impact Labels, Mid America Paper Mill, Unitac Adhesive, RV Kountry, Oak Grove Campground in Branson, Lewis Travel Land, and Lewis RV. He served on numerous boards in the RV community including RV Dealer Advisory Council. Gary was a longtime faithful member of Crossroads Christian Center and Praise Gathering. He was a proud sports enthusiast, along with traveling the United States with his wife and family selling RV’s. He truly enjoyed the art of the making the “sale”, which included treating his customers like family. His greatest interest was spending time with his family.

And a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Sharon Dishman Oravitz.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, March 28, 2016, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 28, 2016, at DestinyLife Church in Collinsville, Oklahoma, with Pastor Jack Voss officiating. Committal services and interment will follow at Sandridge Cemetery in Collinsville, Oklahoma. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Gary Burger Memorial Fund, c/o RCB Bank, 11633 East 86th Street North, Owasso, Oklahoma, 74055. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
