Glen Wesley Hogeland was born May 21, 1929, in Bellevue, Texas, to James Wesley and Lilly Beatrice (Hensley) Hogeland. He died Sunday, May 11, 2014, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 84 years. Glen was completed hissecondary education in Westville, Oklahoma, and graduated with the Westville High School Class of 1950. He continued his education attending John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. He was a veteran of the armed forces having served his country honorably with the United States Air Force. Glen was married April 30, 1950, in Barron, Oklahoma, to Billye Joyce Fleig. They had made their home in Owasso since 1955. Glen spent most of his working life as an aircraft mechanic and inspector with American Airlines in Tulsa. He was a faithful member of Nogales Avenue Baptist Church in Tulsa and the Owasso Masonic Lodge #545. He enjoyed a variety of pastimes including golf, woodworking, fishing, and hunting.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Hogeland, mother, Lillie Testerman, step-father, Burl Testerman, grandson Bryan Fugate, brothers-in-law, Dan Barnhouse and Gene Fleig, and sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Barnhouse, Pat Fleig, and JoAnn Fleig.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso with Pastor Ray Martin officiating. Committal services and interment will follow at Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery in Owasso. The family requestsmemorial contributions be made in Glen’s memory to the American Heart Association, 2227 East Skelly Drive, Tulsa, Oklahoma, 74105. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
