Helen Coble Hamlin was born June 9, 1938, in Prairie Grove, Arkansas, to Fred W. and Ruby L. (Wilson) McDonald. She died Saturday, February 28, 2015, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 76 years. Helen attended school in Prairie Grove until she moved with her family to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she attended Webster High School. She married the late Sidney Ray Coble in 1954 and together they raised three children. She was married October 7, 1992, in Fayetteville, Arkansas, to Bill Hamlin. They had made their home in Owasso, Oklahoma, and then later moved to Collinsville. Helen spent most of her working life in the banking business. She spent several years with Security Bank in Tulsa and then worked at American Exchange Bank in Collinsville in new accounts. She was a faithful Christian and attended Christ’s Church in Owasso and most recently Collinsville Assembly of God. She was a member of the American Institute of Banking, the American Quarterhorse Association, and the Claremore Elks Lodge. She enjoyed a variety of pastimes including traveling, but most important to her was her family, especially her grandchildren.
Loving family members include: Her husband; Bill, of the home Two daughters and sons-in-law; Kay and Harvey Price, of Muskogee, OK Connie and Davie Martin, of Collinsville Son; Dale Coble, of Collinsville Grandchildren; Tara Daughtery and her husband Steve Travis Middleton Shanna Eicher and her husband Shane Brandi Dixon and her husband Jeff Shane Floyd Samii Floyd Kyle Coble Caitlin Woodson Kelsey Coble 12 great grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Bill McDonald.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 5, 2015, with funeral services 11:00 Friday, March 6, 2015, both at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso with Pastor Jeff Bradley officiating.
