Hesiquio “Zeke” Rodriguez was born February 2, 1939, in Monterrey, Mexico to Dr. Hesiquio Sr. and Isabel Lopez (Flores) Rodriguez. He died Monday, June 13, 2016, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 77 years. Zeke was educated in Rio Grande City, Texas and graduated with the Rio Grande City High School Class of 1958. After High School he received a baseball scholarship to New Mexico Highlands University where he became an All-American catcher and also earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Education. Zeke married Mary Judy Rodriguez on December 21, 1963 in Rio Grande City, Texas. He spent most of his working life as an Agency Director for the United States Government. He and Judy have been faithful members at Church On The Move in Tulsa, Oklahoma since moving to Owasso in 1999. In his spare time Zeke enjoyed playing golf and racquetball, but most of all spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren.

Zeke was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Isabell Prescott, and grandson, Mark Rodriguez.
Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso, Oklahoma with Zeke’s son, Pastor Carlos Rodriguez officiating. The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be made to International Justice Mission, PO Box 96961 Washington, DC 20090-6961 or Lewy Body Dementia Association Inc., 912 Killian Hill Road S.W. Lilburn, GA 30047. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
