James Floyd Stubblefield was born August 29, 1928, in Stigler, Oklahoma, to John and Janie (Pugh) Stubblefield. He died Monday, February 10, 2014, in Pryor, Oklahoma, at the age of 85 years. Floyd was reared and educated in Stigler. He was married December 19, 1950, in Van Buren, Arkansas, to Norma Fay Honeycutt. They had moved and made their home in Owasso, Oklahoma, since 1965. Floyd spent most of his working life in the construction business, first as a welder then as a brick mason laborer and was a member of the Laborer’s Union. He enjoyed a variety of pastimes, especially gardening. He would also grow a big garden and would share his vegetables, particularly tomatoes, with his neighbors and friends.

Justin Stubblefield, Tawnya, McCammon, Clint Stubblefield, Cody West,
Jorge Sosa, Daniel Sosa, and Erica Sosa
17 great grandchildren, with one on the way
And one great great grandson
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Norma Stubblefield, two brothers, Jimmy Stubblefield and Carl Stubblefield, and a sister, Willie Mae Guinn.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 14, 2014, with funeral services at 11:00 at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso with Vigil Cantrell officiating. Committal services and interment will follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
