Janet Andrea (Dysart) Scullion was born on January 18, 1936, in Englewood, New Jersey to Hugh Dysart and Dorothy Elizabeth (Smith) Dysart. She passed from this life on Thursday, August 17, 2023, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 87 years. She was raised in Edgewater, New Jersey and graduated high school from the Academy of the Holy Angels in Fort Lee, New Jersey. She then went on to attend Holy Name Hospital School of Nursing and received a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Jersey City State College. Janet worked as a clinical nurse at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York City, a school nurse in Edgewater, New Jersey, a company nurse for Citi Service in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and a case manager for Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was married on December 1, 1956, in Edgewater to Bruce Vincent Scullion. Janet moved her family to Owasso, Oklahoma where she was a longtime faithful member of St. Henry Catholic Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, but most important to her was her faith and her family.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, and two sisters who died in early childhood.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with a Rosary service at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 24, 2023, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso. Funeral mass will be held 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 25, 2023, at St. Henry Catholic Church in Owasso. Graveside service and interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Tulsa. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso.
