Jimmie Neal Pope was born on September 18, 1942, in Novinger, Missouri, to Murle Neal Pope and Miranda Lillian Daniels. He passed from this life on Saturday, December 28, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 82 years. Jimmie was raised and educated in Kirksville, Missouri and graduated with the Kirksville High School Class of 1959. He was married on October 22, 1960, in Kirksville to Bonnie Ruth (Griswold) Pope. Jimmie moved to Oklahoma following his career with Sutherland’s and eventually started working as a Salesman with Hughes Lumber in Owasso. He was a longtime faithful member of Rejoice Free Will Baptist Church in Owasso where he was a part of Jerry Kaase and Chuck Horstman’s Sunday School Class. In his spare time, Jimmie enjoyed a variety of past times such as watching NASCAR, building and racing R/C sprint cars, attending car shows with Bob, visiting friends at Prairie Village and watching YouTube videos on tv at a volume level of 85.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Murle and Miranda, wife, Bonnie, daughter, Ruth, and his beloved friends, Jerry Kaase and Mary Bednar.
