John Eric Snider was born on July 10, 1945, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Robert Earl Snider and Melba Alice (Teeguarden) Snider. He passed from this life on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at his home in Owasso, Oklahoma at the age of 79 years. John was raised and educated in Tulsa, and graduated with the McClain High School Class of 1963. He then enlisted and served his country honorably in the United States Air Force. John earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Midwestern University in Wichita Falls, Texas. He then graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy in 1976. He was married on January 6, 1973, in Duncan, Oklahoma to Cinda Lee (Smith) Snider. John spent most of his life as a pharmacist and business owner of the Hominy Rexall Drug in Hominy, Oklahoma for 40 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed a variety of past times such as golfing, attending Indy car races, OU football, and travelling, but most of all he loved spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Melba, sister, Mary Jean Baker, and his brother, Robert Steven Snider.
A visitation will be held form 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 31, 2025, at Calvary Worship Center, 625 Northeastern Avenue, Hominy, OK 74035.
