John Gregory Nimal II was born December 30. 1979, in Collinsville, Oklahoma, to John Gregory Nimal and Robin Colleen Scott Nimal. He died Tuesday, August 6, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 44 years. John completed his secondary education in Owasso, Oklahoma, and graduated with the Owasso High School Class of 1999. He continued his education at the University of Tulsa before enrolling at Spartan School of Aeronautics where he earned his Associates Degree in Quality Management. He worked for Dal-Tile in Muskogee in industrial maintenance.
John was married July 2, 2016, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, to Julie Barbaree. They had made their home in Muskogee, Oklahoma, for the last several years. John enjoyed a variety of pastimes, but really just liked working with gadgets and technical things, spending time with his grandbaby and family, studying physics, Eddy Currents, the Idea of free energy and how things worked. He was an all-around handy man and could fix most anything.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Gregory Nimal
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, August 11, 2024, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 10:00 Monday at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel. Private family disposition will be held at a later date. The family requests memorial contributions be made in John’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee, 38105, www.stjude.org. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
