Julie Elizabeth Armentrout was born July 19, 1947, in Charleston, Illinois. She died Wednesday, June 19, 2024, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 77 years. Julie completed her secondary education in Charleston and was a graduate of Charleston High School. She continued her education attending the University of Missouri. Julie was married August 27, 1967, in Charleston, to Gary Ray Armentrout. She was proud to be a military wife to Gary during his service with the United States Air Force. This also may have contributed to her love of traveling.
Julie spent much of her professional career in the retail industry. Julie was excited to see others succeed and thrive. Julie had an endless love for helping others through charitable work through Laureate Beta Lamda Charitable Sorority in Denver. She was extremely fond of her time living in Colorado, Vail, for the last 40 years was her favorite place to gather with friends and family. She enjoyed a variety of pastimes including arranging flowers and was the ultimate party planner. Julie was particularly fond of her role as “Maga” to her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Myra L. Ingram, son, Bo Armentrout, nephew, Drew Ackman and brother, Robert A. Ingram
Memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 28, 2024, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso. Private family disposition will be held at a later date. The family requests memorial contributions be made in Julie’s memory to Good Shepherd Hospice, 4343 South 118th Street North, Suite 160, Tulsa, Oklahoma, 74146, or to Laureate Beta Lamda Charitable Sorority, Attn.: Erlene Finch, 973 East Nichols Avenue, Centennial, Colorado, 80122. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
