Kenneth Lew Yager, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on April 5, 2025, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 84.
He was born on August 14, 1940, in Shidler, Oklahoma, to Lewis and Lucille Yager. After graduating from West Texas A&M University in 1963, Ken served in the U.S. Army before beginning a long and successful career.
He began working for Cities Service, which eventually became Willams Natural Gas. He dedicated 32 years working in the natural gas pipeline industry. In 1995, he was fortunate to take early retirement, which gave him and his wife, Gail, the opportunity to travel extensively and spend quality time with friends and family.
Throughout his life, Ken was a source of unwavering love, strength, and guidance. As a husband, he was devoted to his wife, Gail, sharing a life full of love and laughter, as a father and grandfather, he supported and encouraged his children and grandchildren. His quiet strength, integrity, and faith made him a role model to everyone who knew him.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of 58 years, Gail Yager; His brother, Keith lager; and his sister Helen Weber. He is survived by his children, Angie Culbertson and her husband David, and Scott Yager and his wife Dana; as well as his grandchildren Alex Culbertson, Avery Culbertson, and Ryan Yager.
Services will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at 10:30 a.m., at Mowery Funeral Service Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Mission Center c/o First Baptist Owasso in Ken Yager’s memory.
