Laura Josephine “Jo” Thomas was born February 16, 1921, in Anderson, Missouri, to David Alonzo and Anna Mae (Wilson) Watson. She passed from this life Monday, August 28, 2017, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 96 years. Jo was reared and educated in Anderson, Missouri, and attended Anderson High School. She was married February 14, 1959 in Miami, Oklahoma to Joseph Clinton Thomas. Jo spent most of her working life in the home raising her children. She has been a longtime faithful member at Central Baptist Church in Owasso. Jo had a variety of pastimes which included cross stitching, needlework, solving crossword puzzles, and reading.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister, Bessie Hutchison.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 31, 2017, at Central Baptist Church in Owasso with Pastor Scott Carlson officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Owasso, Oklahoma. The family requests memorial contributions be made in Jo’s memory to Central Baptist Mission Fund, 9001 N. 145th E. Ave, Owasso, OK 74055. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
