Ever wondered what it would be like to explore the wild, blue yonder?
Owasso’s Chapter 10 of the Experimental Aircraft Association is hosting a Learn to Fly Day at Gundy’s Airport on Saturday, May 18, 2013. Anyone wishing to take a free flight with a licensed pilot will be able to do so from 10 a.m. to 1pm (this is when registration will end).
The Learn to Fly Day is a chance for people interested in aviation to learn more by meeting local pilots and flight instructors and finding out what it takes to “live the dream” of personal flight. Some 600,000 people in the United States are licensed pilots, many of them participating in the Sport Aviation program which enables individuals to own and fly private aircraft at a reasonable cost.
Members of the EAA Chapter will be available to answer questions and discuss their experience with EAA and general aviation.
Gundy’s Airport is located at 7806 N. 172nd St. (3.5 MILES EAST OF Hwy 169 on 76th St. N).
EAA embodies the spirit of aviation through the world’s most engaged community of aviation enthusiasts. EAA’s 160,000 members and 1,000 local chapters enjoy the fun and camaraderie of sharing the passion for flying, building and restoring recreational aircraft.
