Leona Renea Victoria Thomas was born on August 9, 2004, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to James Edward Thomas and Cindy Renea (Brown) Thomas. She died on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 17 years. Leona was a student at Owasso High School and was also taking classes at St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. She was a very spirited girl and made an impression on everyone she met. Leona loved makeup and was often asked to teach her friends how to do their own makeup. She recently developed a passion for reading as well as painting and drawing. Leona enjoyed a variety of past times such as collecting crystals and gems, skating, and watching anime, but most of all she loved spending time with her friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Georgia and Bobby Brown.
Visitation will be held 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso. Funeral service 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Leona’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service.
