Linda Kay Large was born on September 22, 1947, in Nowata, Oklahoma to Clifford Cecil Jones and Gaylie Faye (McMaster) Jones. She passed from this life on Monday, July 1, 2024, at her home in Owasso, Oklahoma at the age of 76 years. Linda was raised and educated in Copan, Oklahoma. She was married on December 29, 1963, in Caney, Kansas to Tommy Ardell Large. Linda spent all of her working life as a business owner of Kansas Forklift in Wichita for over 40 years and Oklahoma Forklift in Tulsa for over 12 years. Along with owning 2 restaurants. One in Wichita and one in Owasso. Linda and Tommy have made their home in Owasso, Oklahoma since 1991. Linda had recently been involved at Owasso First Assembly of God. She was a proud veteran’s wife and participated in groups related to veteran support throughout the years as well as being a strong advocate for Al-Anon and a published author writing a support book for Al-Anon members.
In her spare time, Linda enjoyed a variety of past times such as, traveling, going on cruises, spending time at the lake house on Grand Lake, attending craft shows, gardening, bird watching, and caring for animals, and meeting new people, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Gaylie, sisters, Sally, Beatrice, Wilma, Wanda, and Carolyn, and 4 brothers, Sammy, Bill, Charles and Clyde.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 8, 2024, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, Oklahoma. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso.
