Martha Jane (Jacot) Koen, age 81, of Owasso, passed away surrounded by family following a prolonged illness on Saturday, September 14, 2013 in Tulsa. She had lived with her daughter Katherine for the past year. Martha was born December 4, 1931 at Potsdam, NY to Charles and Amelia (Barney) Jacot. She was united in marriage to Edward Koen in New York.
She is survived by daughters – Katherine and Nicole; sons – Scott, Marshal, Mitchell and Michael; a brother Ed and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Martha was preceded in death by her parents, husband Edward Koen, two sons Charles JR and Robert and a sister Lois.
She was an extensive world traveler, spending time in China, Japan, Australia, Thailand, Korea, France, Bali and the United States. She lived her life to the fullest with many tears and memories of a life lived well. Wake service will be held at the Garner Funeral Home in Potsdam, NY on September 28 and 30th, from 7-9pm. She will be interred at a future date. Local arrangements were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
