Mary Arlene Wilhelm was born August 14, 1932, in Topeka, Kansas, to George and Mary Louise Wetzel Flowers. She died Thursday, December 23, 2021, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 89 years. She was married November 7, 1959, in Topeka, Kansas, to Frank Joseph Wilhelm. Mary spent most of her working life as a bookkeeper with the State of Kansas Parks and Recreation Department. She enjoyed a variety of pastimes including spending time outdoors going fishing or working in her garden. She also enjoyed working with wood and woodcarving. She loved animals, especially her dogs. She was particularly fond of her role of Grandma to her grandchildren.

Abby Horn, of Owasso, Oklahoma
Brooklyn Wilhelm, of Elyria, Ohio
Camden Wilhelm, of Udall, Kansas
Mason Wilhelm, of Wichita, Kansas
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Frank Wilhelm, two sisters, Virginia, Jones and Dody Bacon, and one brother, Roy Flowers.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 30, 2021, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Skiatook, Oklahoma, with Father Van Nguyen officiating. Serving as casket bearers will be Colton Brewer, Michael Brewer, Ryan Horn, Gary Hughes, Mitchell Lamon, and Gregory Wilhelm. Committal service and interment will follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville, Oklahoma. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
