Melissa Dianne Crutchley was born February 20, 1968, in Glen Dale, West Virginia, to Gary Grant and Betty Sue Hartzell Ernest. She died Wednesday, April 5, 2017, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 49 years. Melissa completed her secondary education in Breckenridge, Texas, and graduated with the Breckenridge High School Class of 1986. She continued her education through Executive Secretarial School in Dallas, Texas. Melissa was married February 24, 1990, in Breckenridge to Keven Jay Crutchley. She had worked with State Farm Insurance Company and later with First Bank of Owasso, but her primary focus was her family. She was a longtime faithful member of the Anglican Church of St. Paul in Owasso. She was active during her sons’ time in the Owasso High School Band and served with the Owasso Band Patrons. She enjoyed a variety of pastimes such as cross stitching and she was the family home bookkeeper.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, April, 9, 2017, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 10, 2017, at the Anglican Church of St. Paul/Mowery Chapel with Father Chris Waters officiating. Serving as casket bearers will be Tim Hartzell, Rob Stevens, Lonnie Terrell, Danny Hill, Doug Ernest, and Mike Ernest. Committal service and interment will follow at Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery in Owasso. The family requests memorial contributions be made in Melissa’s memory to the Anglican Church of St. Paul, P.O. Box 1858, Owasso, Oklahoma, 74055. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
