04/07/2019 – Conagra, the company that makes Hunt’s, says it is recalling a limited number of 6-ounce cans of tomato paste because they may have been damaged after the canning process, allowing mold to grow. The company became aware of the problem after receiving calls from consumers.
The cans affected have a “best by” date of October 16, 2020. They also have this UPC code: 00-0-27000-38807-5. To date, no other lots are affected by the recall.
If you have any of this tomato paste, the company says you should throw it away or return it to the store where it was purchased for a refund.
