Updated 03/24/13 3:00pm: Edwin Robles, an Owasso 5th Grader at Northeast Elementary School , who suffered an injury 6 years ago like Christopher Reeves, has passed away over spring break while on a trip to Mexico.Like “Superman” he lived his life with the hand he was dealt to the fullest possible. At school, Edwin had become an inspiration and role model to teachers and students alike.
Edwin’s family is overwhelmed by the thoughts, prayers and out pouring of kindness from the community. No further donations are being accepted at this time.
A memorial service at St Henry Catholic Church will be held after the family returns.
