Request for Assistance: Vehicles of Off Duty Officers Shot and Egged
The window of an unoccupied Owasso patrol car was discovered to have been shattered while it was parked in front of an off-duty officer’s residence near E 112 ST N. Upon inspection, it was discovered that the window appeared to have been shot out. A short time later in the original town area, a personal vehicle belonging to a different off-duty officer was discovered with similar damage (window shot out and egged). The officer’s marked patrol car was parked near his personal vehicle, which indicates that this vehicle was also targeted because the owner was a police officer. Additional vandalized vehicles were later discovered in the Owasso Police Department parking lot, including damage to marked OPD patrol cars and personal vehicles belonging to OPD officers.
Initial indications suggest that all of the vandalism occurred on Tuesday, February 24th, 2015 between 2PM and 4PM. Anyone with information regarding these incidents is asked to contact the Owasso Police Department at 918-272-COPS.
