01/07/2019 – On January 3rd the Neosho, MO Senior Center held the Four State Region Pool Association’s Senior Pool “Tournament of Champions”.

The tournament is held each year in honor of Cecil Williams who helped start the league back in 1998.  The tournament was won by Chip Reynolds of Owasso.  Second place was Randy Jones of Collinsville and third was Cec Jones of Broken Arrow.  All three players play out of the Owasso Community Center.

The Four State Pool Association consists of senior centers in Miami, OK, Grove, OK, Vinita, OK, Joplin, MO, Neosho, MO, Bentonville, AR and the Owasso Community Center.  Sixty-four players qualified for the tournament by finishing in the top three places in a series of tournaments held throughout 2018 held at each of the participating centers.

Owasso hosts four of these tournaments each year.   This is a very unique group that was established for fellowship and love for the sport of pocket billiards.  It is doubtful there is anything like it elsewhere in the country.
