The City of Owasso held a press conference Monday afternoon announcing a joint partnership between the Cherokee Nation, Tulsa County and the City of Owasso for road improvements on Mingo Road between 96th Street North and 116th Street North.
The Cherokee Nation is funding all materials such as asphalt and tack oil, by providing $236,700 toward the project.
Railroad crossing improvements along Mingo will also be made.
Tulsa County will be doing the road work, while Owasso will be responsible for road maintenance when completed.
Over 3,500 vehicles travel Mingo Road daily. This project will improve the quality of life for several thousand residents within the City of Owasso
