09/28/2018 – Owasso police are investigating after a standoff with man happened around 1am Friday morning, who locked himself inside a home.
Lt. Nick Boatman tells Owassoisms that police received a parking complaint Thursday evening at a home near 117th East Avenue and 78th Street North. They found the vehicle and box trailer were reported stolen out of Oklahoma City.
While watching the area, someone came out of the house the vehicle was parked by, but ran back inside as police approached him. The suspect would not obey commands to exit the residence.
Officers blocked off the street but decided against kicking in the door to avoid a possible shoot out situation. They will wait to enter the home with a warrant for obstruction and for possessing a stolen vehicle.
The vehicle and trailer were towed from the residence.
