Oklahoma’s newest Sam’s Club opened this morning in Owasso, providing members with numerous services and incredible savings on quality merchandise. The new club ribbon cutting ceremony was held at 8 a.m. with numerous local dignitaries and Sam’s Club officials present.

“Sam’s Club has a long history in this state, and we’re thrilled to be opening this club in Owasso three decades after Mr. Sam opened the first Sam’s Club right here in Oklahoma,” said Club Manager Brad Yokley. “The community has been very welcoming, and we are looking forward to building long-term relationships in Owasso.”
Layout, bright atmosphere, expansive selections await members
The new Sam’s Club features a shopper-friendly interior layout and measures approximatly 136,000 square feet. The new Owasso Sam’s Club benefits a wide range of shoppers seeking quality, selection and value.
Oklahoma sports fans will immediately notice the vast electronics department featuring the latest high-definition televisions. Busy parents and those who love to cook will find an expansive array of everyday needs including fresh produce, quality meats and home meal solutions, while office supplies, vending machine snacks and paper goods prepare small business members for success. Additional benefits for small business owners include early shopping hours, Click ‘n’ Pull®, truckload savings and access to quality items most often used by foodservice businesses, restaurant owners and caterers.
As an innovative steward of the communities it serves, Sam’s Club utilizes a variety of environmentally friendly materials and energy-efficient fixtures. For instance, numerous daylight-harvesting skylights reduce the amount of energy required to light the store by up to 75 percent daily. LED lighting throughout the club, including in the cooler and freezer box doors and jewelry counter, operates 70 percent more efficiently than traditional fluorescent lighting.
Pharmacy and hearing aid center among amenities
The Owasso club will have a full-service pharmacy where members and non-members can take advantage of great savings on medications they use every day. The Sam’s Club pharmacy will feature $4 and
$10 generic prescriptions and extraordinary savings on branded prescriptions. Sam’s Club also offers an optical department, free monthly health screenings July through Oct. and Healthy Living Made Simple magazine to help members take charge of their health through preventative measures.
The new club will also debut a Sam’s Club Hearing Aid Center, offering premium technology in hearing aid and personal listening devices alongside the care of a certified audiologist.

Sam’s Club has a longstanding commitment to give back to the communities it serves, and the new Owasso club is no different. Associates from the new club have selected several local organizations to receive grants from the Walmart Foundation. $30,000 was distributed to those organizations.
