***HiSet Tests and GED Tests are both HS Equivalency Tests

When can I enroll in class?
Enrollment begins on Thursday, January 5, 2017, at 6:00 pm. In the High School’s commons area. Enrollment will continue Monday and Thursdays at 6:00 pm until 2/6/17 in Room 3. Our first class begins Monday 1/9/17.

When/Where are classes held?
Classes meet Monday and Thursday evenings from 6:00 – 8:30 P.M. January 5 to April 27, 2017, (see calendar) in OHS Room 3.

How much does the class cost?
There is no charge to attend classes or for class materials.

What is an HSE?
To date, three High School Equivalency tests are offere in Oklahoma to give the ability to receive an Oklahoma high school diploma: the GED®, HiSET®, and TASC. The instruction for all HSE tests is similar.

Why the HiSET® exam?
The Educational Testing Service(ETS) High School Equivalency Test (HiSET®) offers examinees two affordable testing formats: paper/pencil tests-or- computerized tests. Our site offers only the paper/pencil exams.

How do I schedule to test?
Create a HiSET® account at http://hiset.ets.org/, select your testing options and test site, and choose your payment option. You may also call 1-855-MyHiSET (1-855-694-4738). You must pre-register to take any HSE test on their testing site.

What is on the HiSET® test?
The HiSET® tests cover five areas: Language Arts: Reading, Language Arts: Writing, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.

Where/When can I test?
There will be three opportunities to take the paper/pencil HiSET® in Owasso this Fall 2016 Semester, with other opportunities in the area. You schedule and pay for your test through your online HiSet.org.account

How much does the HiSET® test cost?
The complete battery (5 tests) costs $97.50 and includes two additional retakes per subtest for added $2.00 per retake. See HiSet site for details as prices are subject to change. http://hiset.ets.org/requirements/ok

Who can take the test?
Anyone 16 years of age or older not enrolled in public school may test. 16 & 17-year-olds MUST have a notarized permission form completed by their home school and signed by a parent in order to attend class.

Do I have to attend class?
You are not penalized if you miss class, other than you will miss valuable class instruction. THOSE WHO ATTEND CLASS PASS.

What if classes are cancelled?
We follow the OPS calendar. If school is dismissed due to weather, classes will be cancelled. We will reschedule missed classes.
