On the evening of Thursday, May 15, 2014 a concerned Owasso resident/parent reported to the Police that his daughters, who attend Owasso Public Schools, were approached while walking home from Hodson Elementary, located at 86th St North and 145th East Avenue in Owasso, by an unknown male allegedly asking the young girls if they would like a ride home.
It was alleged this was not the first time this same individual had engaged the young girls in a conversation they described as “uncomfortable” while walking home. On Friday, May 16th, Owasso Police interviewed the children and tracked down the subject that allegedly approached the girls. While no actual criminal action is believed to have occurred, this allegation was taken serious and we hope that the proactive measures taken will help to ensure the safety of our children.
