The Owasso VFW have been asked to participate in honoring a fallen hero.
On Thursday, June 19, Pvt. Leonard A. Kittle will be retuning home to Caney, Kansas, after a 62 year delay. Pvt. Kittle was aboard a C-124 Globemaster enroute to Korea in 1952 that crashed east of Anchorage, Alaska. The crash site was finally found in 2012.
Anyone interested in honoring Pvt Kittle please show up at the new 116th bridge over U.S highway 75 at approx. 1215 P.M.
Owasso VFW Post 7180 will be there with American Flags, find them and they will loan you a flag. Pass the word, Pvt. Kittle deserves the best!
