Paul J. Bradley of Broken Arrow and formerly Owasso passed from this life to his heavenly home on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at the age of 86 years. Paul was born February 15, 1930 at Buckville, Arkansas to Albert Bradley and Mary (Ratliff) Taylor. He spent his early years in Arkansas before the family moved to Tulsa when Paul was in junior high school, graduating from Daniel Webster High School. Paul was a veteran of the United States Army and was honorably discharged December 26, 1952. On July 20, 1952 Paul and Charlene Prince were united in marriage in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. To this union, two sons were born. They first made their home in Tulsa, later moving to Owasso where they lived for 33 years. For the past year, they have resided at the Baptist Village in Broken Arrow, OK. Paul worked for Hale-Halsell, a wholesale grocery company for many years, retiring as the personnel director. He was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Owasso and served for many years as a deacon there. Paul enjoyed working in both his yard and at the church; but faith and family was always his priority.
Those that survive and hold many cherished memories include his wife of 64 years – Charlene; his sons – Paul J. Bradley, JR and his wife Annette of Cypress, Texas and Stephen Wayne Bradley and wife Patricia of Broken Arrow. Also surviving are five grandchildren Tiffany Hand, Deborah Bradley, Michael Bradley, Benjamin Bradley and Jennifer Curtner; three great grandchildren Joshua, Michelea and Allison Bradley; as well as a brother Ronald Taylor of Muskogee, OK and a sister Donna Dobbs of Bixby, OK. Paul was preceded by his parents, a half-brother and two half-sisters.
Visitation for Paul will be held on Monday, January 2, 2017 from 2 – 4pm at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. There will be a private family service at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa on Tuesday, January 3, 2017.
