Robert "Bob" CageRobert P. “Bob” Cage was born August 11, 1939, in Hollandale, Mississippi, to James Edward Cage, Sr., and Daisy Lee Sanders Cage. He died Thursday, August 25, 2022, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 83 years. Bob completed his education in Glen Allen, Mississippi, and graduated with the Glen Allen High School Class of 1957. He was a veteran of the armed forces having served his country with the United States Air Force as a nuclear missile specialist in Germany during the Cold War. He was married to the former Ann Merlene Combs, who preceded him in death January 8, 1999. Bob spent most of his professional career as an installer with Suburban Propane until his retirement in 1999. He had made his home in Owasso since 2000, moving her from Lewisville, Texas. He was a faithful member of First Church Owasso, formerly First Christian Church. He enjoyed a variety of pastimes, including making wooden pen and pencil sets. He also enjoyed the outdoors going fishing or spending time on the golf course.

Great grandchildren; Jordan, Lindsey, and Tyler Newlin
Brother; Nolan Cage, of Harlingen, Texas
Sister; Barbara, Decker, of Hendersonville, North Carolina
And a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Ann, brothers, Harry Cage, Dewitte Cage, Charles Cage, James Cage, Julius Cage, and Billy Cage, and sisters, Dorothy Long, Alice Smith, and Daisy Johanson. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 29, 2022, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso with Pastor Jake Follis officiating. Committal service and interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Owasso. The family requests memorial contributions be made in Bob’s memory to your favorite charity. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
