Ronnie Lee Grimes was born June 27, 1937, in Carthage, Missouri, to Herbert Melvin Grimes and Inas Schell Grimes. He died Monday, June 24, 2024, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 86. Ronnie graduated from Carthage High School in 1955. He was a veteran of the armed forces having served his country honorably with the United States Navy for six years. Ronnie was married March 9, 1960, in Carthage, MO. to Patsy Anne Butler. They have made their home in Owasso, Oklahoma, since 1965. Ronnie spent most of his professional career in the oil and gas industry as the Manager of Measurement with Oklahoma Natural Gas. He was a man of faith and an active member of the Owasso Church of Christ. Ronnie enjoyed a variety of hobbies including time spent golfing with friends and family, working in his yard and garden in his younger years and serving as a coach for his daughter’s softball team. He was an avid fan of Oklahoma Sooner softball and football and enjoyed watching them every chance he could. Of all the things Ronnie loved, he loved being a grandpa the most.

Those he leaves behind with many cherished memories include: his wife of over 64 years, Patsy, of Owasso, Oklahoma; daughter, Kim May and husband Gregg, of Edmond, Oklahoma; granddaughter, Kylie Becquet and husband Foster, of Salt Lake City, Utah; grandson, Cameron May, of Norman, Oklahoma; Sisters, Glenda Haggard, of Shenandoah, Texas and Karen Grimes, of Grand Prairie, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents.
