Rose Mary Gatton was born on April 3, 1947, in Louisville, Kentucky to Robert William Rhodes and Catherine (Mains) Rhodes. She passed from this life on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at her home in Owasso, Oklahoma at the age of 77 years. Rose Mary was raised and educated in Louisville and graduated with the Durrett High School Class of 1965. She was married in Athens, Alabama on October 9, 1967, to William Martin “Marty” Gatton II. Rose Mary spent most of her working life in the home raising her three boys. She had been a faithful member of Highland Park Christian Church in Louisville, Kentucky, Mount Washington Church in, Mount Washington, Kentucky, Central Christian Church in Fort Smith, Arkansas, and most recently, First Assembly in Owasso. In her spare time Rose Mary enjoyed a variety of past times such as reading, gardening, and collecting owls, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.

Cole Gatton, Alex Gatton and wife Desiree, Stephanie Gatton, and Grace Gatton

Sandy Gallo
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Catherine, sister, Faye, and her husband, Marty.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 24, 2024, in the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel. Funeral service with be held 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 25, 2024, at Owasso First Assembly with Pastor Bruce McCarty and Pastor Mike Shepherd officiating. Interment will be held at Fort Gibson National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family asks donations be made in Rose Mary’s memory to Owasso First Assembly – Senior Adult Ministry, 9341 N. 129th E. Ave, Owasso, OK 74055. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service.
