Sarah Jane Armon was born on May 19, 1948, in Searcy, Arkansas to Albert Clinton Slaughter and Fayrene (Benton) Slaughter. She passed from this life on Friday, August 25, 2023, in Owasso, Oklahoma at the age of 75 years. She was raised and educated in Peru, Illinois where she graduated with the LaSalle-Peru Township High School Class of 1966. Sarah was married on November 5, 1966, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Peru to Edward John Armon. She spent most of her working life as a Retail Clerk with J.C. Penney and Dillard’s in Shawnee, Oklahoma, but most of all she was a mother and a grandmother. In her spare time, Sarah enjoyed a variety of past times such as swimming, playing tennis, traveling, watching her sons play baseball, volunteering as with Boy Scouts as a den mother, but most of all she loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.
