School Board Candidate Filings Set to Begin Monday, December 1, 2014
Candidates for the Board of Education in 14 Rogers County school districts will file their Declarations of Candidacy over three days beginning at 8 a.m. on Monday, December 1, and continuing Tuesday and Wednesday, Rogers County Election Board Secretary Julie Dermody said today.
Dermody said the official filing period ends at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, December 3. All candidate filings will occur at the Rogers County Election Board office, 415 W 1st St, in Claremore, Dermody explained.
The Board of Education positions at stake will be filled at the Annual School Election scheduled February 10, 2015. If no candidate receives more than 50% of the total votes cast in this election, the two candidates receiving the highest number of votes will meet in an runoff election on Tuesday, April 7, 2015.
