From the City of Owasso:
“On September 6th, the Streets Division will be performing a major street repair located on the East Service Road just south of E 96 St N (See image).
During the past month, the pavement condition has worsened due to heat causing a deflection in the roadway. As a result, a full width repair is in need as soon as possible.
As with any repair, the first thing staff evaluates is safety. Therefore, it was determined to be best to close this section of roadway while the repairs are underway. If the road is not closed during the repairs, the work would take an additional 5-7 days to complete. The repair will be expedited as a result of the road being closed to through traffic. We hope to reopen the road by Friday, September 9.
