Sherry Jean Jones was born October 22, 1947, in Vinita, Oklahoma, to Marion Wallace Trimble and Norma Jean Baker Trimble. She died Wednesday, December 18, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 77 years. Sherry completed her secondary education in Vinita and graduated with the Vinita High School Class of 1965. She was married June 22, 1968, in Vinita to Perry Dal Jones. They had made their home in Owasso, Oklahoma, since 1971.
Sherry spent most of her working life as an automotive care business owner. She and Perry worked together for many years in business and later in lawn care. Sherry was a strong woman of faith and was a faithful member of Friendship Baptist Church in Owasso. She enjoyed a variety of pastimes, especially the annual family trip to Canton, Texas. She also enjoyed antiquing and looking for a good deal. She also enjoyed attending Southern gospel singing events. Her main “job” was taking care of Perry, always by his side whether at work or play. Sherry dearly loved her family and was especially fond of her role of “Mimi” to her grandchildren.

Nieces; Dixie Curlee, husband Gary, and family
Debbie Bullard, husband Gary, and family
Sheila McMillan, husband Mike, and family
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Bobbie Trimble, husband, Perry Jones, niece, Amber Trimble, and most recently by beloved sister-in-law, Peggy Frazier.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, December 22, 2024, at Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 23, 2024, at Friendship Baptist Church in Owasso with Pastor Linzy Slayden officiating. Serving as casket bearers will be Declan Smith, Dawson Smith, Gary Curlee, Frank Ambrus, Gary Bullard, and Micheal Clickner. Committal service and interment will follow at Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery in Owasso. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
