Sheryl Sue Fernandez Neal was born April 22, 1952, in Poteau, Oklahoma, to Gordon Newton and Martha Darline (Eck) Murray. She died Thursday, March 2, 2016, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 63 years. Sheryl was reared and educated in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and graduated with the Broken Arrow High School Class of 1970. She spent much of her working life as a legal secretary. She was a member of the National Association of Legal Secretaries and was a Past President. She was also a member of the Broken Arrow Eastern Star. Sheryl enjoyed a variety of pastimes including horseback riding, fishing, and reading. She also enjoyed going to Christian dances and getting together with family. Her primary mission in life was telling others about Jesus.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Jeffrey Gordon Murray.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, March 6, 2016, at Mowery
Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 7, 2016, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso with Darrell Tope, Randall Smith, and Larry Jarrell officiating. Sheryl will be laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery in Owasso. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
