Shirley Ann Mullinax, resident of Tulsa, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2014 at the age of 80 years. Shirley was born May 28, 1933 in Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania to Edward F. and Violet (Reese) Nole. She was raised in both Florida and Oklahoma. On August 4, 1956, Shirley and Reginald Mullinax were united in marriage. Being a military wife, she lived on various military bases around the United States. Tulsa has been home since 1972. Shirley was a member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church of Tulsa. She was an accomplished musician on both the piano and accordion. In the early 1950’s she owned Shirley Nole AccordionSchool. In later years, she was acaregiver in the home health field.
Those that survive include her daughters – Lisa Bradfield & husband Troy of Salt Lake City, Utah, Laurie Green of Tulsa and Therese Mullinax and husband Sigurdur Sigthorsson of Owasso. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren – Kent, Katie, Jennifer, Stephan, Nick, Mary, Corey & Dylan; also surviving are five great grandchildren and three brothers – William Nole and wife Barbara of Tulsa, Charles Nole of California and Robert Nole of Tulsa. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, husband Reginald, brothers Jack & Edward Nole and her beloved son Lawrence Mullinax.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 15, 2014 in the Chapel of MoweryFuneral Service with Father Matt LaChance of St. Henry Catholic Church officiating.
