Shirley Jean Joly passed away unexpectedly at her home in Owasso on Sunday, October 21, 2018. She was 69. Cremation services have been entrusted to the care of Dighton-Moore Funeral Service of Owasso.
Visitation will be 9AM to 8PM Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at Dighton-Moore Funeral Service in Owasso. No formal service is scheduled.
Shirley was born May 6, 1949 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to James and Anges (Werner) Ladd. She grew up in the Tulsa/Owasso area where she attended Owasso Public Schools. She was also a native of the Cherokee Nation.
For a number of years she traveled all over the country working as a contract Landman for different Oil & Gas Companies. In her spare time you could find her playing “Pinochle”, or other card games with her family and friends. She also enjoyed going to the casino with her favorite cousin Carolyn Freeman. Above all her accomplishments, her family was her pride and joy. She loved spending time with her son and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed, but her memory will live on in their hearts forever.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, one son, Jerry “J.D.” Joly and wife Christine of Owasso, OK; two grandsons, James Joly of Collinsville, OK, and Randall Joly of Skiatook, OK; two brothers, Donald Ladd and wife Gloria of Broken Arrow, OK, and Larry Ladd of Owasso, OK; niece, Jennifer Dean of Edmond, OK; and favorite cousin, Carolyn Freeman of Catoosa, OK.
