Spread the love

Oklahoma Blood Institute (OBI) is teaming up again with the Oklahoma City Thunder to “Thunder Up!” and save lives.

As part of its Holiday Assist tradition, the Oklahoma City Thunder will hold its 9th annual Holiday Blood Drive with Oklahoma Blood Institute on December 28, 2016, at Woodland Hills Mall in Tulsa.  Donors can give blood from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Donors can show their Thunder pride, by rolling up a sleeve and sharing the spirit of the Oklahoma Standard.

“We are proud to be part of this critically important event for the ninth year,” said Christine Berney, vice president of Community Relations for the Thunder. “This time of year, we love seeing Thunder fans come together, embrace the spirit of the holiday and make a significant difference for our neighbors in need.”

Oklahoma Blood Institute is the state’s local non-profit blood center.  Our volunteer donors provide all of the blood needed by patients in 165 hospitals statewide including all Children’s, Veteran’s and Indian Hospitals.

Appointments are not required but can be made by calling OBI at 877-340-8777 or visiting obi.org.
