02/14/2019 – The Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office is in the process of seizing twenty-eight horses, three pigs and sixteen dogs at home near Skiatook.
The owner is the subject of an animal cruelty investigation.
A malnourished horse was pulled from a frozen pond on the property over the weekend. There was no access to fresh water and very little food for the horses.
Dogs and pigs were eating the remains of dead horses. Several of the animals are in need of medical care.
TCSO thanked the Humane Society of Tulsa and Blaze’s Tribute Equine Rescue for their assistance with this issue.
