imagesA $9 million interchange improvement project at the US-169 junction with SH-266 (46th St. North) is scheduled to begin Monday, Feb. 3rd.  Drivers should plan ahead now for the  significant impact to their travel and commute over the next year.

Crews from Sherwood Construction will replace the two structurally deficient bridges at this junction with one new structure, and also reconfigure the ramps from a cloverleaf  style to a diamond-style interchange. Various lane and ramp closures will be scheduled throughout the project, and there will be speed limit reductions on both US-169 and SH-266. Delays can be expected, and drivers should consider alternate routes, especially during peak traffic times.

The first bridge demolition work is scheduled for mid-February, and will require a total closure of all lanes of US-169 below SH-266 for one weekend. Traffic will be detoured to the ramps at this interchange during this work, and significant delays  can be expected. Further details will be announced prior to this closure, and also for future closures later in the project.
