Vera Mae Long was born June 10, 1935 in Waco, Texas to William Henry Cox and Mary “Gladys” Chapman. She passed from this life on Sunday, December 30, 2018 in Owasso, Oklahoma at the age of 83 years. Vera was educated near Waco and attended school in McGregor, Texas. She spent most of her working life as a homemaker raising her daughter and grandchildren. Vera enjoyed going for walks around the YMCA and the surrounding neighborhoods, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. Those she leaves behind that hold many cherished memories include:

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 4, 2019 at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso with Danny Lee Stanley officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville, Oklahoma. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
