William Arnold Zellner, Sr. 88, longtime resident of Owasso, passed away peacefully at his home
on Friday, June 5, 2015. William was born January 7, 1927 in Ardmore, OK. to Bert and Bessie
(Buckholts) Zellner.
William lived in New Mexico for a while before moving to Tulsa, and then to Owasso. He has
lived in the Owasso area for the past 40 plus years. He worked for American Motors, and
Thunderbird Ford. He enjoyed playing the guitar, fiddle, and banjo with his friends. He would
frequent Walt’s Auto here in Owasso where he bought a car or two. He also enjoyed tinkering
on cars.
William is survived by two sons; William Zellner, Jr. and Tim Zellner, both of Owasso. One
daughter; Judy Miller of Owasso.
Eight Grandchildren; Randy Zellner, Ryan Zellner, Shannon Corter, Derek Zellner, Angie
Meadows, Eric Miller, Deedra Reece, and Lorrie Patterson.
Seventeen Great-Grandchildren; Kynzie, Zoey, Kingston, Caden, Kyler, Dawson, Hunter,
Danielle, Katey, Whitney, Jordan, Jake, Haeli, Presley, Baeli, Aspyn, and Daxton.
Two Great, Great-Grandchildren; Kinsliegh, and Emma.
Three Brothers; Donald Zellner, Raymond Zellner, and Bobby Zellner.
One Sister; Ruth Barnes
William was preceded in death by his wife Joyce Zellner, two sons; Lonnie and Tom Zellner, his
parents, three brothers, and four sisters.
Casket Bearers are; Randy Zellner, Ryan Zellner, Eric Miller, Derek Zellner, David Meadows, and
Dusty Corter.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00PM Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at Dighton-Moore Funeral
Chapel with interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Owasso.
