06/28/2019 – INDIANAPOLIS, IN — The National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NIAAA) is pleased to announce that Zach Duffield, Executive Director of Athletics at Owasso Public Schools, has been recognized by this association as a Certified Athletic Administrator.
To earn this distinction, Zach has demonstrated the highest level of knowledge and expertise in the field of interscholastic athletic administration. The voluntary certification process included a thorough evaluation of the candidate’s educational background, experience and professional contributions, as well as a rigorous, comprehensive written examination.
Zach Duffield has a deep understanding about excellence in athletics, but more importantly he knows that athletics is a powerful tool to create excellent men and women. He commits himself to the character of our student athletes as well as their athletic competence.
As Zach Duffield has obtained his Certified Athletic Trainer status he is modeling for our student athletes and our staff that he is committed to learning as a leader. Increasing skills is something you see happening on our athletic fields, in gyms, etc. and Zach is doing what we ask our student athletes to do every day – stretch, strive, and grow to maximize potential. The NIAAA is a national professional organization consisting of all 50 state athletic administrator associations and more than 12,000 individual members. It is dedicated to promoting the professional growth of high school athletic administrators and preserving the educational nature of interscholastic athletics and the place of these programs in the secondary school curriculum.
