RCS student artwork showcased, wins medals at district art festival
On April 24, 2015, 38 Rejoice Christian Schools (RCS) projects were represented at the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) District Art Festival. RCS 11th-grade student Ashley Barnett won a silver medal for one art project. Barnett also won a gold medal and Best of Show for another art project. Pictured is Barnett with the project that won a gold medal and Best of Show. Only one project from the competition may win Best of Show, and Barnett’s project will now compete in the ACSI Regional Art Festival.
The following RCS students also won gold medals at the ACSI District Art Festival: 2nd-grade student Patricia Wells, 5th-grade student Andrew Koerner, 5th-grade student Chandler Thompson, 7th-grade student Elizabeth Hildebrand and 8th-grade student Samantha Nicholls.
The following RCS students won bronze medals at the ACSI District Art Festival: 7th-grade student Emmy Fowler and 10th-grade student Lindsey Wingo.
